Mobile Tech Expo 2026 Recap: Education, Innovation, and Community Done Right
Mobile Tech Expo 2026 (MTE) delivered exactly what this industry needs more of: real-world education, hands-on innovation, and the kind of community connection that reminds you why you got into detailing in the first place.
From the moment the doors opened, the energy was high—pros sharpening their craft, brands pushing the envelope, and shop owners and mobile operators swapping ideas that can immediately translate into better results and a stronger business. For Detailing Success and the Auto Training Collective (ATC), MTE 2026 wasn’t just another event on the calendar—it was a meaningful week of learning, teamwork, and relationship-building.
Strong representation and stronger relationships
A huge part of what made this year special was the time spent together with people and partners who continue to elevate the industry:
- Renny Doyle
- Oscar Hernandez
- P&S
- ATG Group
- Dynabrade
- Detailing Success
- Auto Training Collective
Between conversations on the show floor, technical discussions, and the constant exchange of strategies and process improvements, it was clear: the detailing community is moving forward—and the professionals who commit to training, standards, and collaboration are leading the way.
Congratulations: Bob Phillips earns 2nd Place in the Paint Correction Contest
One of the standout highlights from MTE 2026 was the Paint Correction Contest—a true test of skill, discipline, and decision-confirmation under pressure. Paint correction isn’t just “make it shiny.” It’s tool control, pad/liquid selection, defect evaluation, clarity refinement, and efficiency—all executed with confidence and consistency.
That’s why we’re proud to congratulate Bob Phillips of P&S and ATG Group on earning 2nd Place in the Paint Correction Contest.
Bob’s result reflects what we value most: technique, professionalism, and a commitment to continual improvement. Bringing home a podium finish in a competition like that isn’t luck—it’s preparation meeting performance. Well done, Bob!
The Detail Mafia Meetup: Saturday night done right
If MTE is about education and industry advancement, then the Detail Mafia Meetup on Saturday was about what holds it all together: people.
The meetup was a major success—an awesome gathering filled with laughter, real conversations, and the kind of fellowship you can’t replicate online. It was a reminder that our community isn’t only built in classrooms or at booths—it’s built when we break bread together, check in on each other, and make space for new faces to feel welcomed.
To everyone who showed up, shared stories, and helped make it a positive, respectful, high-energy environment—thank you. This is the culture we’re proud to be part of.
Bringing it home: keep the momentum
If you picked up new techniques, got inspired by a new tool approach, or had a breakthrough mindset shift at MTE 2026, don’t let it fade when you unpack your bags. Bring it into the community:
- Post your biggest takeaway
- Share a win you’re bringing back to your business
- Ask the question you didn’t get to ask at the show
- Drop photos from the weekend and tag the people you connected with
- Progress loves accountability—and community makes that easier.
See you next year
MTE 2026 may be in the books, but the next chapter is already on the horizon. The event closed with a clear message:
“See you next year!”
February 10–13, 2027 — Orlando, FL
We’ll be there—and we’re already looking forward to another year of learning, competition, connection, and community.
