Houston Texas Collector Car Detailing Project

Houston Detailer and five AFO detailing team members start restoration on classic car collection

A collection of 10 classic automobiles is being restored by Michael Pena of Houston's Mobile Auto Detail and five other auto detailers from around the country.

The collection includes several Ford Thunderbirds, a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur, a Chevy Impala, a 1965 Shelby Cobra and an older model Chevy truck, all in their original condition.

The vehicles are owned by an anonymous private auto collector outside of Houston.

Detailer Michael Pena said in the press release, "We will be restoring and buffing the paint back to its natural shine, polishing all the metals including the aluminum wheels, and restoring all the vinyl and leather interiors, cleaning the carpet, and applying odor removal techniques — the whole works."

Pena will be assisted by his mentor and four other high-end detailers who restored Air Force One and a World War II B-29 Bomber last summer at the Seattle Museum of Flight.

The team consists of Renny Doyle, owner of Attention to Details in Big Bear Calif.; Jason Neidigh, a motorsports expert from Boise, Idaho; Terry Wilbanks from Dr. Detail in Las Vegas; Harry Sandwith from Rochelle Park in N.J.; and Christopher Evangelista from Noble Elements in New Jersey.

For more information about Michael Pena's Mobile Auto Detail or this restoration project call 281-216-5833 or visit www.handwax.net.

Interesting. I do love vintage cars and with the new modern designed cars their old but cool look will still stand out.
