Do You Have A True View of Your Detailing Business?

Could you detail this surface? Be honest...could you?

What About This Surface...Can You Fix This?

Things are not always what they seem?
We all have one thing in common as detailing professionals, we are all very active and progressive within our day-to-day business which is good....but!!!! There is a point and time when you are to close to your business and being that close to something does not allow you a true vision of your business and your businesses objectives.
When we are that involved and that passion based we tend to miss the basics and that is why getting a fresh prospective on your business from an outsider is important. Sometimes what we see is best for our business is not as real as we think and reality is far different then what you may be seeing while you are so close...if you gain another prospective things can come into focus!

I am a lucky guy as I network, socialize and do business with many smart people and I ask for a reality check from those I trust all the time. I belong to a detailing family and we are all bouncing things off each other. You need to find those you trust and do the same as most of us are pretty good salesman and we as business sales people can sell ourselves on some pretty smart ideas that can turn pretty stupid when another set of fresh eyes look at the situation.
In return, I assist people at face-lifting their detailing businesses all the time...it's what I do and I keep new start-up detailing business from making near fatal errors...the same errors I made in my early days of business and believe me there have been several occasions I was close to loosing it all due to not having a true vision on a move I was or had just made. My only regret...I wish I had our group back then!!!
So back to my original question...could you detail the surfaces within the above photos? Things are not always how they seem when you are looking at them from such a close proximity.

When you are viewing things important to us, our minds can get the best of us...the surfaces I presented above have noting to do with the surfaces we deal with in detailing but I bet many of you were wondering what surface I had blown up or what kind of wax or sealer you were looking at that...the moral to the story is that getting a distant based view of your business can be a good thing.
Like these images, when we look at things that are important to us, we miss the main points many times. If you want to see your business grow and you grow as a business professional, network with others you trust. I work with people worldwide at gaining clear vision within their auto service businesses but it does not take working with me...it can be done by networking with the right people....the ol' saying of birds of a feather certainly applies and I hope you get a fresh pair of eyes on your business or planned business...it will surely pay off as I am sure you will see!
Happy Detailing All,
