Before You Start Using Your Flex 3401 Polisher You Should Know This!

Warning...do NOT over-lube your Flex 3401 Polisher...just a light touch of 3 In One Oil...A Very Light touch is all you need and keep the internal area of your polisher clean.

If you are getting black lube on your pads from the housing of the Flex...You used to much lube and you need to clean it up with a clean, lint free towel.

  1. Remove your backing plate
  2. Gently remove the felt belt that is inside of the unit (this is white on new units)
  3. Gently set into a small container that has a small amount of 3 In One oil in the container.
  4. Lightly move around and then flip to other side.
  5. Towel dry the felt so it has a light layer of lube on it
  6. Reinstall the felt carefully
  7. Reinspect and clean the housing. I clean weekly when I am busy or monthly when the machine is not running as often.
  8. If you are getting a black stains on your pads or on the backing plate, this is a sign that you have over-lubed the machine or are using the wrong lubrication.
